I have #mpd running on my network with speaker and streaming outputs. On a client running #OpenBSD 7.4-current I just tried to stream the audio over http. vlc stuttered like crazy, mpv sounded muffled and still stuttered. The most reliable player and best sounding player so far is Chromium!? How is that possible?

Might it be a simple cache issue on the client side? To ensure a small buffer is filled before starting the playback, I play mpd HTTP streams with: mpv --cache-pause-initial=yes http://example.com/(not using OpenBSD here, but I hope it might help anyway)
