A friend recently told me how her workplace introduced a tool to track when people started and ended work.A few months later they removed the tool because they couldn't afford paying for the overtime that staff were now shown to be working.

I have #mpd running on my network with speaker and streaming outputs.On a client running #OpenBSD 7.4-current I just tried to stream the audio over http. vlc stuttered like crazy, mpv sounded muffled and still stuttered.The most reliable player and best sounding player so far is Chromium!? How is that possible?

@futurebird I'm finding myself coming back to 6502 and similar older systems because back in the day you actually had a chance to understand a full system.The documentation (and bugs!) for modern CPUs alone is impossible for one person to wrap their head around, never mind all the other components that go into newer systems.

@toddmedema But are there any GOOD ones? Last I looked I couldn't find any that had 2x 15km range, nor could I bring the battery inside for charging, etc. None of them brag about their batteries and I assume there's a reason for that.

@futurebird I have stumbled upon a handful of YouTube accounts made by dutch people where they preface every video with them talking and walking, and then there's two slides of tech questions and answers.Entirely automated. The worst account has millions of videos.
