       Going to travel to the #uk for a week, with a BritRail pass for all of #england, so anything interesting you'd recommend for a day trip (willing to go into other kingdoms, too)? Both city trips and light hiking.

       What's interesting in the UK for a day trip? Depends very much what you're interested in.The National Museum of Computing is good for computer history - includes microcomputers but much moreManchester has the Science and Industry Museum with a Baby rebuild.Cambridge is a nice city and has the Centre for Computing History.The National Rail Museum might be your thing.  And York is a nice city to walk around.Newcastle upon Tyne is nice - lots of bridges! Keep on, get to Edinburgh.@mhd
