       @tante i'm old enough to remember data mining as the big problematic thing. Afaik data mining is reproducible & requires less power, while also laundering bias.  "statistical thing with ascribed agency" could describe DM (maybe not -agency?). Llm amd DM are different enough to deserve their own terms, no?

       @tante I like the idea! Are we at a point already, where people equate AI with agency? At least in my bubble people still only assume autonomy (not yet agency), although they might not use such language to describe this.I like your work btw. I find it very insightful and helpful to get a more balanced and people-focused view on modern technology, which is an angle that's arguable lacking or caricatured in some discussions.
