       i live on a sandbar (have most of my life),im about 100ft from a tidal river (the exacts same river i grew up on as a child) on a small hill about 15ft above sea level , "scientist" claim the seas are rising 1-2"  a year..im 62 now that would put the sea level 62-124" higher or about 5-10 ft deeper..that would make where im typing from right now a very small sand island that would be washed away in the first winter storm..in fact not much of this gloriefied sandbar would be above water (cape cod,MA would not exist)

       People are dumb.  they don't realize that melting all that salt water ice would DROP seal levels because of density/volume.The ice above water level is figuratively and literally, "just scratching the surface".

       If you drop an ice cube in some water, mark the water level, then let it melt, the level of the water will NOT rise.
