Israel didn't exist for ~two thousand years before the 1948 when the British left. I mean.. the damn Assyrians DESTROYED Israel 2,400 years ago... The area has been ruled by just about everyone and their grandmother since... They abandoned it to them and gave significant suggestions of what they could do.The United Nations did that, separating the area into three regions. What right they had to split up the area depends on whether or not you believe that an international body owns your people's lands or not...That aside, the day after they left was the start of the First Arab-Israeli War. Obviously, Israel won that, but then they used Zionist militias to chase out up to an estimated 700,000 Palestinian people from their homes and lands. (hard to tell how many left on their own and how many had to flee) Keep in mind, that the population of the world was only around 2 billion, so that's a big damn chunk of people for the time.Like it or not, Israel came into existence through conquest and war, mostly supplied by outside nations. This is nothing unusual, and certainly nothing unusual for that part of the world, and I'm not interested in giving them a hard time about it, but It's a foolish to think that the Palestinians that lived there and went through it all (some still alive to this day) don't have just cause to want to fight and even go to war to regain their homeland.
