@amerikaI agree with you, but also think the quote is a direct the result of that. Both the left and the right are guilty of dehumanizing each other constantly. That behavior is not one sided.

@aevisia I do not think the Right has ever successfully dehumanized the Left.To us they just look confused."Muh both sides" is kind of pointless since the Left has wired this pathology into its ideology, so there really is no comparison.

@amerikaThey do constantly. Rights make fun of the lefts and demean their intelligence all the time. I am part of a lot of right leaning circles, I see it regularly. The left does the exact same to the right. I may have more right leaning views, but I am not ignorant to see the way both sides collectively treat each other. Both sides are very tribalistic and have made a habit of screaming AT each other rather than talking TO each other; collectively speaking, with the rare exceptions.

@amerika Yes, it does go both ways. If you don't agree it goes both ways I am fine with you not agreeing. It doesn't change my own perception, because I have personally witnessed many folks on the right treat the left the same way. If you choose not to see that, or simply don't perceive it that way, why should I try and convince you otherwise, or vice versa? What difference does it make? It doesn't matter to me if you don't agree. To me it's not worth wasting the energy over lol.

@aevisia The thing here is that you are arguing for an anomalous result here, which is that magically both sides do the same thing to each other, when they actually approach these things from different angles.The Left sees the Right as morally bad to the point of needing elimination.The Right mostly sees the Left as mentally addled people in the grip of a pathology.
