What are some easy to use backup applications for #ubuntu #linux? I just bought a 2TB hdd just for backups. I want a piece of software that I can select folders that should be backed up, and also be able to ignore certain folders inside of those. (Like a .gitignore)I would use GNOME Backups but it lacks the ability to ignore certain subfolders without selecting them all manually.Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.#backup

@nfoert I've heard good things about both #BorgBackup and #Restic for #backup on #Linux systems. Don't use either myself though.

@mkj @nfoert I also want to decide, esp when I go linux as primary driver. Now Dejadup for files and Timeshift for system, and manual backup. Linux Magazine had backup theme in an issue beginning of the year which I will reread to for my way forward. Borg I think is one candidate. But now I do not have a clear answer.
