No one commented yet on the PWA discussion in the latest board room?Or I missed it. Anyway. The cors is afaik still a major problem with PWAs. And the local storage is another problem. The browser/os can pretty much at anytime decide to throw your data away. (I'm not sure about the filesystem apis, haven't used those).But in my app (WIP) https://poddery.netlify.app/ I store all the data in IndexedDB and my phone looses all the data at random every now and then. Not very cool âšī¸

@ville That's a cool little app Tried to "save to desktop" and it doesn't work for some reason but in a tab no problem so far.

@adam Thanks. Hmm that's odd, should be able to "install" it. I've got it installed on my phone. Though I might have never tried to install on a desktop...Also I might have broken something. It's not very often that there's a need to "reinstall" so that kind of thing don't get tested my accident đ

@dave @adam That's my understanding. And to be frank I don't know how it could not be. It's pretty fundamental thing for security. It's still a browser after all.

@dave @adam The service worker (the background process) and the app (ui) both still run in a browser instance even when the PWA is installed. It's just a dedicated browser window for your app afaik.
