@dave @adam That's my understanding. And to be frank I don't know how it could not be. It's pretty fundamental thing for security. It's still a browser after all.

@dave @adam The service worker (the background process) and the app (ui) both still run in a browser instance even when the PWA is installed. It's just a dedicated browser window for your app afaik.

@podverse Maybe they want you to fix the old version before they take a look at the newer ones 😝

@dave ditch the unity wm and try out xmonad. There's a wm that don't get in your way πŸ˜„.I started using it 10 years ago and haven't looked back πŸ‘€

@dave try listening YouTube videos on your browser instead of the YT app. At least on Android you can listen in the background that way ☝️

@dave @StevenB I guess ymmv, but I just tried on my Pixel 8 pro and no need to hassle with picture in picture or even go to home screen. Play yt video on brave and put screen off, seems to just keep playing. You can even pause and resume from the lock screen.Although I do remember times when it hasn't worked that way. Go figure πŸ˜…

@adamAbout the chapter p-pixel tracking images.Dunno how people in general listen to podcasts, but at least I listen like 98% screen off, so no chapter images will get loaded when I listen. Then again I might browse the chapters before or after listening separately. So the stats for me would be totally screwed up πŸ˜„.But I guess it doesn't really matter considering how ad-tracking stats generally are 🀷Doesn't really matter as long as the advertisers buy it.

@dave tiling window manager talk! Nice ❀️.Long live xmonad! You only need to learn a bit of haskell to configure it and you're off to the races. (Get yours free at any free os near you)

@dave That's just weird. Do you have like AGENTS.md or instruction files etc context for the bot that tells it that kind stuff?

@adam so are you now rocking the Omarchy with Hyprland? If so, how's it going?Inspired by your example I switched my wm to Hyprland on Ubuntu. The switch hasn't done without problems but I'm kinda digging it. Although with multiple monitors I find the way Hyprland ties the workspaces to monitors to be kinda stupid. And had to do lots of config to make them behave more like in xmonad. But I guess that's what you get when you use one wm for 15 years and then change πŸ˜….

@adam I agree with the easy customization. That was one of the main points for me moving away from xmonad. The configuration in Haskell was just a little much πŸ˜
