@Xenophon interesting perspective- Hyrcanus was infamous for forcing the conversion of the Edomites to Judaism (~100BC). You think they totally replaced all the Jews? I saw it as a major corruption of the people, as evidenced by Jesus/Yeshua’s words, but not a total replacement. And then of course many went on to follow their Messiah and many denied Him. I do not claim they replaced them. First, there were millions of Israelites deported over a period of 200 years, starting over 700 years before Jesus was born. Also, His famous discourse that many will come to Him saying ‘Lord, Lord’, and He will say, ‘get away from me you workers of iniquity I never knew you’. See also, ‘truly, as you did to the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ He is not simply condemning a group of men by their nationality- but by their faith, and faith in action or lack thereof.

The race of Satan in Gen 3;15 is the same physical offspring as the race of Adam through Eve. The promises to Abraham are to Abrahams physical offspring. Nobody can become Abrahams offspring just by wanting to, anymore than a man can become a woman, or a black person White.Satan is physical. Jesus didn't say "You are not my sheep because you do not believe me. He said "You do not believe me because you are not my sheep." He never gave a prescription for how they could become a sheep by believing. Sheep are sheep, and goats are goats, and they do not change.

Only Israel was given the law. You are ignoring extremely important context. There are multiple prophecy that say every edomite will burn in a lake of fire. Jesus was speaking to Israelites, telling them they need to love each other. No more brother wars. No taking advantage of each other. He has never loved Edom, so how could I love it like He did? @Xenophon we live in a physical world, but there is much more going on at the spiritual level. You asked how a sheep can be a goat and likewise. Reading Matthew 25 31:46 describes how many will be judged and separated as sheep and goats. Is this based on how they were physically born or spiritually born? They are judged on their fruits, how they treated their least brethren. When we receive God’s Spirit we can love Edomites and all with His grace. See the parable of the Good Samaritan as well

Also see Deuteronomy 23:7 ‘Do not despise an Edomite, for the Edomites are related to you.
