Our Android Auto build of Podverse has been sent to Google for review.They rejected our previous build because we didn't have voice commands, but I added "Play <podcast title> in Podverse" support last night and this morning.https://github.com/podverse/podverse-rn/pull/1969Hopefully they approve this one 🤞

@podverse I'm surprised they actually rejected it for a reason. Usually when I hear about GPS BS it's something dumb that shouldn't have been a block in the first place.

@eroc1990 yeah, it turns out Google has guidelines documented online that require voice command implementation for Android Auto. I heard some people managed to get approved without it, but possibly as an oversight…in any case it was easier than I expected to add voice commands so we should be better off for it.

@eroc1990 haha same 😂Btw Android Auto will only work on Google Play. It's proprietary unfortunately so it's not compatible with F-Droid.

@podverse I love the new Android Auto support. Was using it on a couple of trips and just loved being able to follow and manage what was playing from the dashboard ❤️

@podverse yup... I'd have to go back through and set all my auto queues up again. Have you guys considered a local config export option? I know I asked about cloud sync a while back but this might be easier tbh.

@docdoo glad it's working for you! 🥳V4V should work but you would need to enable streaming sats on your phone. The player in Android Auto is the same player that runs on your phone, with the same logic.I'm not sure if boost functionality is something we would want to (or Google would allow us to) integrate in the Android Auto UI. I'm open to adding an "turn v4v streaming on/off" button to the UI potentially, but we need to get through Google's review process before doing anything uncommon.

@eroc1990 a config export/import option is definitely possible. We could also sync your settings with your logged in profile across devices. I see you basically created this issue on Github already.https://github.com/podverse/podverse-rn/issues/1890It really should not be that massive of a task, but I'm not sure when I (Mitch) will have the bandwidth to work on it. Schedule is full through end of month.If someone offers to help as a FOSS contributor and needs a task, I may bring this up as an option.

@podverse yeah that was a while ago. It's really the only thing keeping me from trying beta builds, because if I'm gonna try the beta I'm going to *use* the beta, not run it side by side with the release branch.

@podverse I already have my Alby account connected and a "Per minute" amount of Sats configured. So you are saying, that despite the Android Auto UI not showing the transactions happening, they are still being done?I prefer to not have to look away from the road and traffic around me when I'm driving. Du you think it could be possible to implement a voice command to send a boost, maybe even with a message? That would be super cool!
