       @nickofnz Not sure banning hybrids running in EV-only mode is such a great idea. Smacks a little of dogma over reality, and it's just another barrier to rural people who want to visit the city.

       @vik @nickofnz maybe not such a big issue, if they mean city centre. I'm rural Auckland and I can drive to a car park in Warkworth and catch a bus (okay 2 buses) that get me right into Auckland CBD. It takes a while but I'm a long way out. I can make it faster if I drive to Silverdale and catch just 1 bus. Public transport isn't this good everywhere, especially out west Auckland. But it could be.
