I write for the sake of it.It isn't unpleasant, discouraging, or difficult, it's a hobby.Tinkering with editing and error-finding is relaxing.There's a sense of accomplishment in finishing anything.It's good.

I have a demon monkey named Conscience on my back that will kill me if I'm not striving to achieve my dreams.In all seriousness, writing is mostly an arduous process for me. It is almost never pleasant, but I feel duty bound to my higher, potential-self not to give up and thereby degenerate into a person I would detest.Failure is an option less preferable than death. Another way to think about it is, "One wills for nothingness before it ceases willing." It is a dangerous motivation, which if not properly integrated, results quite often in vengeful despair. Alas, I am so much more sensitive to negative emotion than positive that it is what I have to work with.Put the dogs behind you and run faster.

Honestly I originally didn’t it out of stress and a means to escape my living situation at home. To be anywhere else but at home. Now it’s just to tell a story and to remember what good times I had when my stories were developing.

Mostly for fun. Maybe someday it'll go somewhere, but I write regardless. I get so many ideas in my head and I have to write them down.

I do it as a hobby. However, whenever I start something, I feel compelled to continue it to completion regardless of how frustrated I feel about it at the time. I also write because I think I have something important to say, which I express through my stories' themes.

"Why do you write?" = "Why do you breathe?"To live. I think the fancy, academic, psychological answer is rooted in the feeling of control owing to an unfriendly childhood. This has led to a lot of deep, philosophical and religious exploration which is not-so-subtly explored in my books.

Vision. I have stories to tell and I want to tell it well.When things get hard, I'd much rather hear I suck than to be humored with empty praise. I want to know where I stand. It's fine to struggle and lash out in frustration. That's the point when you're on the brink of discovery.Whatever else comes in between is part of the process, to be adored.

I just want to write my stories as a hobby, but also to help earn some income. Even though I might not be always willing to continue writing my stories, I do try to write ideas for various stories that do pop into my head, alongside thinking of locations to help me focus on my writing.

A hobby that I hope to turn into a source of income. I'm fortunate that I enjoy both the first-draft banging it out phase, and the editing phase.Monetizing may be difficult because from what I've read about the publishing industry, they just aren't interested in people like me or my writing, nor am I willing to make changes that I anticipate would be demanded.Self-publishing will also be difficult because of my reluctance to spend the money for necessities like professional editing, cover art, and marketing.
