       Are there any third party Signal clients for Linux? The official one seems to be Electron, and I'd of course prefer a Qt native one.

       @thomholwerda i don't think so, it's kind of sad it's 2023 and we still have tons of separate IM/messaging apps, instead of having it integrated into one architecture, imo this was a great idea behind clients like Pidgin back in the days, but they just kept coming and were hard to integrate i guess

       @thomholwerda not aware of one, but apparently there is a Pidgin plugin https://github.com/hoehermann/purple-signald — i haven't tried it myself
