       So finally getting started on #iOS/ #MacOS #Shortcuts for some #automation stuff. Two questions:1. What resources to you recommend for learning?2. What apps for extending Shortcuts’ capabilities to you recommend? (Thinking about more like @actionsdotwork for better integration with #Obsidian and Actions for Shortcuts.)

       @anders @actionsdotwork boy, it's tempting to get long winded immediately in response but @bradsiefert's Shortcuts Directory is what I wish I had when I got into this ~6 years ago. https://shortcuts.directory

       @anders Start with Apple’s #Shortcuts guide:https://support.apple.com/guide/shortcuts/welcome/iosFor more I’d go with @rosemary’s book:https://www.takecontrolbooks.com/shortcuts/and/or @macsparky’s Field Guide:https://learn.macsparky.com/p/shortcuts13As for action apps, you already know of @sindresorhus’s #Actions. @toolboxpro is another must-have. @GizmoPack is also worth checking, & @simonbs’s #DataJar is the storage system that the #ShortcutsApp should have had since day 1

       @atnbueno @anders @rosemary @macsparky@micro.blog @sindresorhus @toolboxpro @GizmoPack @simonbs +1 to those recommendations.And if you like podcasts, both @rosemary and @macsparky@mastodon.social have a great podcast called Automators which I’d highly recommend. https://www.relay.fm/automators

       @leah Thanks! I do listen to Automators every now and then, but have had a long queue with other episodes so had actually forgotten about it... :-)

       @anders @DavidBlue Hey! Thanks for posting my link. I’m sad to say because of some technical reasons, this has not been updated recently. And the images on the site are broken. 😞 But there are good links to get started!

       @anders @actionsdotwork can't recommend Jayson and Data Jar enough as well as what you've already stated. These apps are fantastic for doing shortcuts development. I also really like RegEx Lab for doing RegEx tests on my phone when building shortcuts. @charty and @TaylorLineman 's JellyCuts are also great to look into
