@lowqualityfactsMostly true. Chimps can do it, but they don’t. Instead, they use them as weapons.

@lowqualityfacts technically true, but only because carpenter ants are unclassifiable under current cladistic models

@lowqualityfacts Orangutans can actually understand and use human language. They're just extremely careful to never do so where a human might hear them. They know that if we were aware they can talk, they'd all have to get jobs.

@lowqualityfacts A million monkeys armed with nail guns and left to their own devices will eventually build me a cabinet....Probably. I've yet to check back in on their progress. It's only been a week, but I'm hopeful.

@lowqualityfacts I think that should be modified to SOME humans. (I am not one of them: a staple gun is a step too far for me.)

@lowqualityfacts That's true, but the orangutans are likely to nail all kinds of things to the wood: clothing, burlap sacs, their hand...

@lowqualityfacts Yes, it is amazing that humans can do so many of the activities that were once only achieved by orangutans 🦧 If my pants weren't in the way, I would fling poo too 🐒

@lowqualityfacts Did you see the post of an Orangutan actually doing carpentry and inspired this? He was using a saw and a hammer and nails, more or less correctly. He also learned it on his own rather than being intentionally trained.

@freepeoplesfreepress We absolutely dont give animals the credit for how intelligent they really are.. The more I learn about animals the more I realize we underestimate them.@lowqualityfacts

@freemo @lowqualityfacts Dear Dr. Freemo: I know that we do underestimate animals abilities, dolphins have saved humans from drowning, years ago I saw a news story on the wire feed where a pig saved an old lady who had a heart attack by going to each house and finally found a neighbor that followed the pig to the house. Saved the woman's life. There are just too many documented factual accounts of animals helping humans to be ignored.Sincerely, Monica Andrews, Editor-in-chief, #FreePeoplesFreePress News

@freemo @freepeoplesfreepress @lowqualityfacts Yes I agree here, I think there is also a lot of evidence to suggest they have emotion esp if a group member dies or is killed the rest of the group seem to change their behaviour

@lowqualityfacts Orangutans are remarkable. One even managed to get himself elected as US President, though sadly it turned out he wasn’t very good at it.
