Are there any good videos out there on practical advice for text-editing tricks and tips for vailla #emacs that goes beyond what is found in the tutorial?

@BigEatie Perhaps you like the extensive videos from SystemCrafters?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74zOY-vgkyw&list=PLEoMzSkcN8oPH1au7H6B7bBJ4ZO7BXjSZ

@louis Huge fan of systemcrafters, but in this case I'm looking more for just on the text-editing component of emacs. I know SystemCrafters has one out there on that, but IIRC it didn't go much past what the tutorial does.I essentially want to see how an experienced emacser with vanilla keybindings actually edits text. Does he simply use the keybindings that are in the tutorial? If not, what else has he picked up along the way that he's found useful?

@BigEatie Hmmm. The problem is, an experienced Emacs user usually has a highly customized setup. And most do not care to share their personal preferences. If you are more into Vim keybindings use evil-mode, I personally prefer vanilla keybindings.Another good extensive playlist is from Prot:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6k0pZXQrQSs&list=PL8Bwba5vnQK14z96Gil86pLMDO2GnOhQ6May you find some useful videos there. If you have a few bucks to spend, I can strongly recommend a personal coaching session with Prot, that he offers:https://protesilaos.com/coach/I have had multple sessions with him via Jitsi and it is totally awesome. There is really nothing about Emacs that he can't give advice about. You can discuss with him your goals and he'll work with you live in your Emacs config and teach you how to do things your way.Besides that: just use Emacs. Over time you will customize it to your likings and suddenly find yourself home.

@BigEatie Totally forgot to mention Sachs Chua's visual mind maps about Emacs keybindings:https://sachachua.com/blog/category/emacs/You can find links to them in the "Recommended" section at the top. They helped my greatly when I did my first steps with Emacs.

@louis I've been on Emacs for 2-3 years now (started right around the time that Systemcrafters video you linked to came out), and I'm coming from Vim so I do use Evil mode on my home computer but there are a couple of things that make me want to try out Vanilla.1.) I feel like there is some friction between Evil and some packages.2.) If I'm using someone else computer with Emacs on it, I don't want to rebuild my config, but I still want to use Emacs. But I'm pretty clumsy doing so (1/2)
