       I am rereading my favorite H. Beam Piper novels. Four Day Planet, Junkyard Planet (aka The Cosmic Computer), and Space Viking.I like them for the world building, and for the themes of progress and development. Junkyard Planet even has hints of Asimov's psychohistory. I do not personally care for Piper's politics, especially in Space Viking. About on par with Jerry Pournelle.
