Old #thinkpads are the best, I love how repairable they are and how easy it is to upgrade some components on them.I found an adapter that allowed me to install a NGFF M.2 WiFi adapter into the mini-PCIe slot on my x230, and it works! My ~11yo thinkpad can now do WiFi 6.

@craftyguy Totally agree! Nothing at all like that today. But I assume you have heard of Framework? I've been a customer for a long time, and I am very happy with the longevity of their products. I still have a 1st gen 13 from them with 12th gen guts in it. Still going strong and working well. On top of that I have several mainboards doing family computer, server, and media center duties. Old Thinkpads rule, but Framework makes me not miss them nearly as much.

@Phaserune I have heard of them, they do look really nice. Can they run #coreboot? How reliable are the usb-c expansion things under Linux?
