That's to influence just one critter's vote. Figure on spending that on hundreds of critters. But Federal drug prohibition is unconstitutional (without a new prohibition amendment) - and states are successfully nullifying the federal statues. Hopefully, some states will continue to prohibit it. It was a shame when the last dry state legalized alcohol - and addicts no longer had a legally enforced refuge (other than holing up in a recovery center).Also, mix of wet and dry states made for colorful situations on the borders. https://www.sobpedro.com/
