Prompted GPT-4 Code Interpreter with this:----x01\x01\x00\x00\x00\xA4\x88\x0C\xABx\x99^\xC0C\xE2\x1EK\x1F\xBEB@I think this is geospatial binary data, but I don't know the format. Try a bunch of things and figure it out----It correctly guessed it was a WKB point and decoded it for me using "from shapely import wkb"https://chat.openai.com/share/76c98d7d-541f-4b31-a9ba-94628e2b39e8

@simon how could I not know the well-known binary format. Funnily enough, this might even be useful for my work.

@simon Slightly off-topic, but I'm interested in the choice of wording for your prompt. Specifically, the phrase "Try a bunch of things and figure it out"A few months ago, the common lore was to use the phrase, "Let's take it step-by-step." Have you found "Try a bunch of things..." to be noticeably better? (Or am I missing the forest for the trees?)

@edrogers you don't need to say "step by step" with GPT-4 because they seem to have done something to it that makes it treat every prompt like it's already got that trick applied to itI always go for variants on "give me lots of options" because I find it usually gets me the result I'm looking for somewhere along the way

I've done this kind of thing quite a bit - the best thing about Code Interpreter is that it has a ton of Python libraries it can use to try and decipher arbitrary weird binary blobs, so it often churns away trying things until it figures it outExactly the kind of code challenge I don't have the patience to take on myself!

@lewiscowles1986 the way I see it, the most valuable thing I can be doing with respect to this tech right now is helping as many people as possible learn how to use it for positive purposes
