       @projectmirai39 Some paranoid person in the fedi was speaking well about DeltaChat some time ago. I haven't tried it since I barely use instant messengers nowadays, but it may be worth a try.

       @projectmirai39 You are right, it seems it doesn't work with Tutanota, Protonmail, etc. because the IMAP config. 😕

       @projectmirai39 I took a quick look at AlternativeTo and the ones that look more interesting are Jami and Tox.I liked Jami more because it's backed by the FSF, and it works in a more traditional way (normal usernames rather than some kind of hash).
