@selea Just focus on actually using it to get work done, after some time of doing that I collect a mental list of tweaks and improvements that will make my work easier and the motivation to implement them

@selea Look after yourself, selea. That's the best way to get there. Prioritize doing a thing or two you enjoy even if you don't feel like it before you start. Over time, you'll hopefully feel it coming back once you stop living for things you do because you have to instead of want to.

@selea linux tinkering is, fortunately by the nature of things I work on, required quite regularly from server to desktop to raspberries... Arduino 🙁🙁 is not so. My test kit is in a drawer for some years. Same is applicable to electronics 🙁🙁🙁🙁. A few months ago I realised I am out of solder for some time.

@selea have you had a recent health checkup with bloodwork? Even some things like small vitamin deficiencies can influence that feeling. Might be able to feel better by just adjusting a small thing

@selea Poorly, most of the time. But I try tp remind myself that energy has always been much more limited than time.

@selea unfortunately, I don't. I got a smart plug from the electric company that I need to play with and install that open home automation server to my home server. But I just don't have the time or energy to even keep my life going on weekdays (currently washing a lot of dishes that I couldn't keep up during the week).

@selea similar struggle. I often cope poorly by just doing nothing. Sometimes improving the state of my workspaces eliminates the friction and makes it easier for me to start.I mourn my loss of drive to tackle a lot of my hobbies at the levels I used to have. Sometimes I blame aging and changing priorities

@selea for me, I try and embrace that there are seasons of life and that right now is not my season for that because I have other responsibilities I have chosen, like taking care of my family, that utilize the energy I would have put into tinkering. But that season may come around again, and I can look forward to the possibility.
