@basil The wife refuses to believe she's getting older, I'm afraid. She's deaf in her left ear but won't even contemplate thinking about a hearing aid, so we have to put up with the TV at four hundred decibels. I'm surprised my neighbour doesn't knock on my door: "We enjoyed Bake Off last night Pete. Pity it was sound only!"We all get shorter as we get older, but that's now another point of acceptance refusal for her. π€£
