Batman can’t kill joker or any of the other villains because then the story would end and the jew writers and company wouldn’t make as much money. Even when I liked comic books and wasn’t JQ aware I always understood that the “in universe” explanations and philosophizing they’d make batman do on the subject of killing were weak post-hoc explanations that were required to justify the real world situation.

Fairy Tail deserves respect for not having a reach that exceeds its grasp. If you can tolerate old, janky animation then start with the very first one: Gundam 0079. That show and it's various sequels/prequels are what's known as the Universal Century or UC timeline. That's the "main" Gundam timeline that everything else is spun off from.If you want something a little more modern, then there are various Gundam spinoffs that take place in alternate universes, so to speak. They have no relation to the "main" Gundam timeline or to each other. So you can pretty much pick up whichever one looks the most interesting to you and watch that. Personally I'd recommend Gundam 00, Gundam Wing, Gundam X, and G Gundam. Also, the newest season you're referring to is another one of those AU stories. So it being pozzed has no bearing on any Gundam series other than itself.

A lot of youtubers should just stop the second they start eyeing it as a career. When they came out w/ the first wave of long form essays about all the many missteps of that star wars trilogy, there was something there if you’re into the art of writing well. THere was meat. But once they started turning it from a passion project to a job, then they started turning it all into sausage, watching EVERY zogslop movie that comes out to give it the same treatment. You wanna talk about hell? That’s it. Stuck watching every disney/marvel/zog property until the end of time, bleeding away subscribers and patrons as the “unemployed” gap on your resume grows. Before you know it you’re 35 and only getting 15% of the views you used to, and you have the same employment experience you did at 20 yo.

If the story had taken that angle, and pointed out that Vash was an alien monster incapable of comprehending human morality and the value of human life, and that his moral code was just a distorted human mask badly applied, a cynical LARP by a nightmarish cosmic horror, it would have been better. Unfortunately, the story made it clear that Vash was complicit in the deaths of thousands, despite having the godlike power to stop it, and yet still tried to portray him as noble and heroic.

If you haven’t revisited FMA since becoming politically aware I would encourage you to do so, because it’s a lot more of a political story than you might remember, and all the politics are terrible. Half of the main plot of the series is about a pro-democracy revolution to overthrow the military government, all the heroic characters constantly stop to talk about how bad killing is, how bad fascism is, how democracy will save us, how diversity is our strength, etc etc. and of course it culminates in the climax with the gayest coup of all time, where the good guys attack a city without killing any of the defending forces (because killing is wrong) by shooting them in the shins and using non lethal explosives. (And as the first president of their new democracy they instill a transvestite lmao) It’s the “why didn’t the officer just shoot the knife out of his hand instead of killing him” libtard fantasy at scale. The side of the story more focused on the magic and homonculi isn’t so faggy, but it’s an inescapable aspect of the series.

Ive never seen either anime, but in the manga, which I read last year, the characters really do espouse basic bitch liberal platitudes pretty much all the time. And mustangs whole arc is that he starts out being okay with killing and “ends justify the means” thinking and by the end he believes killing is bad, so citing his actions at the start of his arc, which the story explicitly condemns as wrong, as evidence that this is the value of the series instead of the opposite, is dishonest. There’s also zog-like aspects to all evil organizations/empires in fiction written by liberals, because zog is actually a totalitarian evil force. But you have to remember that liberals think of themselves as the plucky underdog and their enemies as the evil totalizing force, so the zog parallels are all there by accident. You need to be clearheaded and understand the difference between what you want to see in a work and what’s there.

Some later versions of batman did a better job on justifiying batman’s no kill rule, as they changed it from a purely morality thing to a “keep his last marbles” thing, the later batmans are more mentally unstable and broken, as much if not a bit worse than the joker, i think the first batman to show a hint of how bad his mind is was the batman from “under the red hood”, where he tells jason todd he won’t kill joker because then he would be unable to stop himself from killing the rest.the ‘current’ incarnation is so bad mentally that harley quinn is his personal psychiatrist, and he realy shows that with the wrong push he could easily turn into something similer to the batman who laughs.

He probably did so out of fear that they'd be corrupted by whatever rite was being used, but he was also afraid of them seeing him and knowing what he'd become.

@ChristiJunior @jimmybuffettfanaccount @monsterislandcolonizer Fair enough, but having the "heroes" straight out kill villains changes the setup and here's why:1. from a business standpoint, other writers who had planned stories with that villain can no longer use him. That's a problem from the perspective of building a big sandbox that writers can continually use. Up until the decline, the continuity of the comic universes was one of the selling points for potential readers. 2. In the comic book universes, many of the superheroes, especially the DC ones, are close to demigods in terms of how much raw power they have. In the comics, they got ordinary people to accept the idea of having them around by agreeing to follow laws, protect citizens, etc. How long would that arrangement last with them carrying out summary executions? (And yes, there are things like Suicide Squad in DC and X-Force in Marvel but those do covert wetworks. That's very different from what Batman and Superman are supposed to be doing.)image.png
