I do think you misunderstand the nimi problem, though. it’s not a question of autistically supporting the rules of idol culture applying to all vtubers, it’s about her specific actions and how she went about it. there’s plenty of great indie vtubers that don’t stick to “the rules”, if nimi had always been independent and always been up front about her vtubing job supporting her boyfriend/husbands household nobody would hate her for it except autistic spergs who insist on uniform idol culture rules. it would even have been a lot less bad if she had been up front as soon as she went independent. but she didn’t. she raked in donos for weeks, sold a bunch of merch and then dropped it. the kind of vtuber nimi is is extremely close to being a whore at the best of times, profiting off making men feel a woman’s imitated fondness, the autistic rules help try and mitigate that by keeping everyone involved constrained by the kayfabe, by leaving the rules behind but temporarily keeping up the kayfabe she went beyond just ripping off the mask and outing herself as a whore, bad enough on its own, she really did netorare her fanbase. Of course, some people like being NTRd these days, but at least understand that that’s what you’re voting for.

I am hesitating on replaying ff tactics, I loved it as a kid but I feel like the magic will be gone now. The main fun of the gameplay was figuring out how to break it, once you have that knowledge you either stomp everything which is brainless and stops being fun after half an hour, or you deliberately play with sub optimal builds to giveyourself artificial challenge which just doesn’t satisfy me. I think it was a “you had to be there“ game that I can’t go back to. That and I remember liking the story when I was 10 and I’m worried reading it now I’ll realize it was gay and libtarded.

@LittleTom I replayed ff tactics advanced semi recently and didn’t like the gameplay but I loved the story, a final fantasy game that’s main theme is that kids should stop playing final fantasy games and go outside is so refreshingly bold and it’s very well executed. Aside from that, I really struggle to think of an isometric srpg worth playing. Even the best ones are mostly just good at tricking the player into thinking they’re having fun despite the brainless gameplay because you’re constantly unlocking things.

@LittleTom Oh yeah and I did hear some of the English VA, it’s embarrassing. the quality of voice acting we had in English in the 90’s would genuinely have been better.
