       My Dad, Alan, between two of his brothers, Robert and George in this photo here,  taken when they all were retired.  Dad, a skilled machinist, was a #union man all his life. Came to Canada in ‘53 worked for Rolls Royce Aircraft engine division, Ford in Windsor until the ‘54 strike and on the Avro Arrow until Black Friday in ‘59. #LabourDay #LaborDay #solidarity /…

       2/ Alan worked 30 more years in the glass container industry and enjoyed almost 30 years of retirement. His brother George worked most of his career at the Fawley Oil Refinery, UK’s largest. Robert worked on the QE2’s engines which propelled it over 2.6 million nautical miles, and received an MBE in recognition of his lifelong labours.We owe a debt of gratitude to all the workers of the world as we celebrate Labour Day 2023. #LabourDay #LaborDay #solidarity #union
