One thing I think a lot of people don't understand about macOS is that it's very trackpad centric. Windows and Linux are both primarily used on PC's where the traditional interface is a keyboard and mouse. But as far as devices running Apple's MacOS, the majority of machines sold have been laptops for many years now. So the standard input for Macs has become keyboard and trackpad. You can still navigate a Mac with keyboard and mouse, but you have to use keyboard commands to switch spaces, and / or the mouse to get to the "mission control" overview. where on the trackpad any of these are a swipe away.

@xoagray honestly GNOME and Pantheon aren't so different, but I guess most people don't even know they can use multitouch trackpads with them

Because of this, using a Mac with a keyboard and mouse can be more cumbersome, especially if you don't have a hot corner set up for Mission control, or are unfamiliar with the keyboard shortcuts to swap spaces. Set up for it though, navigating MacOS is about as easy as any other OS.

@xerz Most people honestly don't use any of this, because they only ever use one desktop, and only ever interact with things on a basic level.
