       Guys it's really simple. They want people back in offices because there are a bunch of rich people that own these corporate real estate buildings  and are due to lose a ton of money. Rich people taking care of other rich people.

       @PhilGastwirth yep. The first step in finding the value of office buildings is calculated by rents per sq foot. No one rents, value plummets. The values are collateral for many other things, and probably into fake shares of weird investments just like the housing crisis from 15 years ago. It's a big problemNot one I want to solve by forced commuting though

       @PhilGastwirth yup. a bunch of the firms making strict work from the office rules have directors who also sit on real estate company boards.

       @PhilGastwirth In many cases it’s not even “other” rich people.  It’s themselves.  They’re invested in the company that owns the building they decied their company should lease space from.

       @PhilGastwirth A lot of my friends are at jobs now where the requirement is 2-4 days per 2 week pay period, which seems reasonable to me.
