@jcrabapple @Gargron @micahflee If it's decentralized, then it can't work exactly like Twitter by definition.

@lowqualityfacts Germans are objectively better than us anglophones when it comes to rules about making creative, on-the-fly compound words

@ParadeGrotesque @kevinrothrock My friend is doing Oppenheimer in IMAX at 10:30AM, then Barbie like 5 hours later at 5PM. I guess she didn't wanna finish the day heavy?

@carnage4life You can do the same thing on Mastodon, of course. I guess Mastodon has tools that allow individual servers to automatically filter those words, or something? I don't understand how this kind of incident would be handled on mas.to or ohai.social.

@PhilGastwirth A lot of my friends are at jobs now where the requirement is 2-4 days per 2 week pay period, which seems reasonable to me.

@futurebird I think there is enormous potential for helping historical #fiction authors write characters with an appropriate tone (a common piece of advice is reading letters and speeches of the period, rather than books about the period), and also referencing contemporary events that all characters would likely be aware of, to really immerse readers. #LLM #AI can be fed lore-books (as they're referred to in UI like #SillyTavern) with actual facts, for "real world" world building.
