       For me, #Mastodon has just reached the second level of degeneration. First one happened one year ago after the great Twitter migration, when I've realized I can't read the whole Local timeline anymore on a daily basis - it got too big. Second one is as I'm realizing that blocking accounts that I consider moronic already takes too much time during an ongoing internet drama.

       @charadon inevitably, either any instance turns to a pumpkin the same way, or it closes 🙂 so that does not scale either. not to mention I'm here for FOSS mostly, so it's the right choice

       @birnim@fosstodon.org Honestly, it's kind of expected that a community will at some point either become too big for it's own good, or it'll shut down. Been dealing with that since the old forum days lolAt least the fediverse makes it easy to migrate to other instances, ya know?

       @charadon I've no problem with this particular instance, still find it useful FOSS content wise. just too much bs I don't like started to flow in lately. you know, those people who want to police everyone and put words in their mouths, but instantly switch to victim mode when being called on that kind of behavior
