@dan > why did they call the song Albert Speer thoughYour guess is as good as mine. But I've heard that Albert Speer is infamous for having known what the Nazis were doing to the Jews, but choosing to ignore it. Maybe MoLG were accusing their countrymen of doing the same about the signs of creeping fascism in the US?Some more lyrics that suggest this;"Her face smiling perfect through innocent teethUnaware of the debauchery beneath ""A Swiss precision suicide machine"(1/2)

@dan Albert Speer may be from the early 90s, but this just reminds us that alternative people have always worried about capitalist "liberal democracies" sleepwalking into fascism. Plenty of other songs from the same era have the same message. Eg another electro-industrial track from the same era; Ich Bin Ein Auslander by Pop Will Eat Itself, from 1994. A more famous example is Killing in the Name by Rage Against the Machine, released in 1992. (2/2)
