Today, Education Minister Stephen #Lecce announced that he has met over 170 TIMES with the education unions in the province."If this govt has met over 170 times with the unions and there's still no deal, then they are being led by an incompetent Minister who never had any intention of reaching a deal. @gemelliz @lisawedmann They're absolutely trying to force a strike.As a parent whose kids have already had many disrupted years (my 8 y.o. had his first non-interrupted year this past year), I'm tired of this government trying to force their privatization agenda and blame the teachers.The second-last thing I want is the kids of Ontario missing yet more schooling because of the incompetence and agendas of this gov't.The last thing I want is to let this gov't sell off our public education.

@adammiller Ford & his education profiteers are chomping at the bit ... a teacher's strike is a perfect way to spin the agenda onto "those lazy teachers".With #Bill98, #Lecce now has the power to dictate and overrule local school boards on almost every meaningful issue...including real estate.👉​ The province currently owns over $60-billion in school real estate.(#DougFord cut $1.6-billion from Ontario's education budget in the 2021-2022 school year. ..and another $47-million in 2023)
