@southernwolf It’s actually been great. Had quite a few kernel and firmware updates that installed and worked without a hitch. I’ve been really happy with the distro so far. The only issue I have experienced is battery life (the drain has been significant) and I believe I’ve narrowed it down to the Nvidia GPU. I’m looking at a couple of options as workarounds, but I wont tackle those til tomorrow. If it’s not one thing, it’s always another 😉.

@jaxwxboss Excellent! And ah yes, on my #ThinkPad I also encountered this too. I had to use a tool, called TLP UI, to control TLP (which came pre-installed on #OpenSuse #Tumbleweed) to dial back the CPU a bit, image below of my config. Also, you'll wanna install Thermald for OpenSuse as well. For whatever reason it doesn't come pre-installed for Intel laptops, even though it really should. That should help quite a bit on it's own, and then you'll need to figure out hybrid graphics switching for OpenSuse. Pop!_OS did it automatically with its Gnome plugin, so I'm not sure how to do that on OpenSuse Tumbleweed. The images below show what I use, I really wanted to get auto-cpufreq working instead of manually setting this stuff, but I just couldn't get it to work right on my ThinkPad with Tumbleweed. But, adjust these settings as you need to. I have a 4K panel, so you might be able to get away with an even lower cpu frequency on battery than me.
