When you think, do you have an internal dialogue that includes words?Boost if you're interested.

People who said no: What do you do for work?Very curious what the skills of a non-linguistic thinker look like...

@timbray my brain plays around with words while I think, but I believe that is like a side-process going on because the language part of my brain cannot help itself, it is not something the real thinking necessarily needs or cares much about.

@timbray I have random words explicitly pop up once and a while, get a few murmurs even here and there, but it mostly feel like a constant bubbling of concepts or feelings. kind of like several radio stations but they're all nonverbal somehow. I only think in terms of dialogue if I'm going out of my way to explicitly structure my thoughts that way.

@timbray Yes and no... sometimes it is images or stories that I have no part of or lived (I'm a writer... don't at me lol) but I find the whole thing to be more a conversation...Me: Hey, I should feed the dog.(Convo): No. We just fed her.Me: But she looks like she...(Convo): DON'T FALL FOR IT! We know we just fed her... she is a lair and honestly she wants the Peanut butter and some treats...Something like that...

@timbray Yes. I'm blind and I use synthetic speech for hours each day. I'd compare my inner monologue or dialogue to synthetic speech sped up so fast that it's a flow of words almost indistinguishable, but where the meaning is clear.
