       @bard As a European I have never even seen a top-loader.At least not the American type of top-loader, only the slim ones with a small hatch at the top that you'll see in dorm rooms and stuff

       @bard Honestly, I probably wouldn't mind a top-loader, I'm so tall that I absolutely hate bending so far down to use a front-loader or to read its display properly. But large top-loaders just flat out don't seem to exist in Norway

       @diresock Currently I have a roomba, but it's never been connected to the internet (and i bought it prior to amazon purchasing irobot)I want to use the smart features, but only if it works on my completely isolated iot network and with home assistant

       @ignaloidas @quad @bard the upright drum means the lid is merely a suggestion. you can start the cycle (filling the drum with water) before you get all your clothes in, and if you forget a sock or something after the cycle starts you can just toss it in without interruption. not practical to do that with side loaders
