       On #Linux Mint 21.2 for some reason webcam viewer "Cheese" refused to work. A little digging suggested an issue with a dependency so I reinstalled using the Flatpak version and it worked. I have no idea why and its annoying having to download a fat Flatpak.I had a similar problem with GIMP. A set of plugins refused to load but the Flatpak version of both worked.Linux issues with system integrity, dependencies and updates, and ease of use can be a pest. Nothing critical but avoidably rough.

       @TransitBiker There's a  good chance Mint will go well with your Lenovo. It's like Thinkpads are almost custom made for Linux Mint. Thinkpads tend to work well with most Linux. Works well on my decade old Thinkpad T520's.I eased the pain by switching over to cross platform apps and trialing for a year. MS playing funny with adware and Windows 11 tipped things. I called their bluff and went 100% Linux Mint in a week. Not going back.
