@thunderbird Yes, but don't forget that Mozilla is a paid competitor to google for anti-trust reasons, so eventually google is going to tell Mozilla to only support Manifest V3 and of course they'll do as master orders.

@MisterMaker @thunderbird I am replying from the linux based phone #librem5.It isn't for everyone yet, but if you are looking to degoogle your life, it is an option to look into.Another option would be to find an old compatible phone and put #postmarketOS or degoogled android.

@MisterMaker @thunderbird I don't use any banking apps. I sign into my account through a web browser. If you require a banking app, then, yeah, #mobilinux might not be for you.De-googling your life requires accepting some limitations and inconveniences. For me, it has been worth it.

@s31bz That would be nice, but the average user is not going to want to distro hop. Most users will want their phone to work out of the box. Maybe, if other distros begin to support the phone better, Purism could be convinced to offer shipping the phone with a preferred distro. Beyond that, #PureOS needs to succeed if the #Librem5 is to succeed.
