@hleb great article that highlights the problems with ipv6, that sadly is somehow shoved under the rug.I've spent countless of slepless night trying to mitigate DoS over ipv6 - since it is really great for DoSing stuff because a ipv6 package is approx 4x larger than a ipv4 one.And I am not a fan of giving all the devices on the network a public ipv6 address either...That is basically the reason I prefer not using it in critical environments.

@hleb IPv6 is OK - but the main problem is that most people are not aware of the problems or consequences that it might bring, because they treat it like ipv4.And that is really the failure of the ipv6 proponents to explain to the adopters.

@selea @hleb In my opinion the biggest problem in ipv6 is the difficulty to memorize the IP address. It's something stupid and I know there are DNS but for small LANs you don't need a DNS with its complexities. And even with the best effort to make ipv6 more readable it's fucking difficult to memorize those ip address.I'm the one who is against brain lazyness. I tried ipv6 but it wasn't only complex to me but when I have to enter my raspberry pi I remember its ipv4 address but not the ipv6.

@selea I'm wondering when this shift in the mass consciousness will happen that it is necessary to globally switch from IPv4. And what will be tha main trigger for that

@jrballesteros05 >the biggest problem in ipv6 is the difficulty to memorize the IP address.Don't do that then.Use the computer in front of you to copy-paste it.
