       They realize that people do this all the time, right? Like, people pick a university across the country because it's the best for their sport, or they/their parents spend tens and hundreds of thousands on the best coaches and gear and travel, or they simply spend their entire lives training. An athlete structuring their entire life around their sport is the NORM.

       @I_XXist Also, with self-ID procedures in place they don’t even need to “upend their whole life”. All they have to do, is to pick a new name, declare new pronouns, change their wardrobe and maybe hairstyle, get praised and lovebombed by all and sundry and presto, they’re done.   When “upending one’s whole life” is a ticket to free publicity, public  adoration and better competition success, it’s not exactly the huge hardship they’re implying it is.
