       I hadn't really been interested in seeing #BarbieMovie, but then I heard various things about it, enough to convince me to go, so I went with friends last night.Overall, I liked the movie, though I thought the pacing was off in parts. #MargotRobbie was terrific, and I enjoyed others in the film as well. /1

       I'll admit that I had a really hard time watching #KingsleyBenAdir in #BarbieMovie , even though I liked him, because I'd just watched the season finale of #SecretInvasion earlier this week, and the whiplash from such different tones was hard to handle. But that shows how good he is, being able to do such differing roles so well. /2

       The movie had me at the first sequence, because really, how can I not like a movie that starts like that?Presuming the strikes will be over by then, I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing Ryan Gosling perform #ImJustKen at the #Oscars next year surrounded by Kens. /3 #BarbieMovie

       Once I realized #BarbieMovie was opening with an homage sequence to 2001: A Space Odyssey, I was applauding. Absolutely brilliant. And it fit perfectly into telling the story.I was a little surprised that there wasn't more of a reaction from the crowd, but it might be because it was a late Friday night crowd on the second weekend. /4

       @cstephens2I think cause the first trailer or teaser for Barbie was that whole opening scene so most of us had all seen it before.

       @PhilGastwirth Oh, really? Awww, that's disappointing that they gave away that whole fabulous scene in a trailer. I don't think I saw a single trailer for the film.
