       @liferstate I think the article is aimed at the people documented in the research -- which is to say, a fairly large chunk of the population, across pretty varied demographics It's clearly front and center in Trump's base -- hence his whole appeal to restoring a supposedly glorious pastIt certainly doesn't match my sense of the pastBut it isn't *merely* embittered older white folks, I don't think

       @clive @liferstate If you believe this guy, who makes a pretty damn persuasive case, the upset has more to do with what we lost when we replaced social ties with economic ties, putting markets where relationships used to be.
