Looking for a workflow to easily extract a text selection into another note in #Obsidian, preferably where I also can select a template with metadata pre-filled depending on what kind of content it is you are extracting? Seems like Quick Add would be a good fit for this? Other options?#PKM #TfT

@anders https://github.com/lynchjames/note-refactor-obsidian covers most of those bases?

@Colman I’ve used that in the past as well, but just like you I noticed it being a bit outdated. Thought there might be better options around. :)

@anders QuickAdd. Highlight the text, invoke QuickAdd command and run the thing. Can use a template and output with variables, including the text you selected.

@anders not obsidian, but this sounds like capture templates on emacs org-mode.
