       Young people in tech have now gotten to experience the difference between a genuinely disruptive technology wave (generative AI) and a fad pumped up by venture capitalists (blockchain). Some of us sounded like grumpy old men for calling bullshit on NFTs and web3 a few years ago. Now everyone gets it.

       @carnage4life Your assumption that LLMs aren't a fad being pumped by VCs seems faulty to me. They're DEFINITELY being overhyped, not to mention appallingly misused for purposes that a sane society would criminalize instantly.
