Is one explanation that predicts two data points inherently more valuable than two independent explanations that predict the data?(So explanation A predicts ‘a’ data, and B predicts ‘b’ data vs explanation C that predicts both ‘a’ and ‘b’.)

@minogully neither is inherently more valuable. Value can only be assigned once the goal of a model is defined. If you dont define the goal, or have an invalid goal, then there is no value.
