It's a long shot, but: Does anyone have a CD image of the Silicon Graphics "IRIX 5.3 C++ Development Option"? It seems to have vanished off the face of the earth. jrra doesn't have it, so I assume nobody has it.

@twylo if you had asked me this in 1997 I could have helped you :(I still remember SGI sending me the compiler license as a single piece of paper surrounded by bagged air in a giant box.

@twylo I have this file, not sure if it fits your needs: "IRIS_Development_Option_5.3.iso", with a file size of about 320 MB and SHA256 of "5a54ec01cd8c8296935042c72653977799c523788fba870cf3aa806d15454d61". If that fits the bill we WILL find a way! :D

@twylo@mastodon.sdf.org as far as i was aware, there is the "IRIX 5.3 Developement Option", and separately, the "C++ Translator" for IRIX 5.3 (which, as the name suggests, translates C++ to C), and not one "IRIX 5.3 C++ Development Option"

@marc @dunkelstern I am still looking for the IRIX 5.3 "C++ Development Option", which (I think) contained ViewKit classes as well as the standard DCC C++ compiler. It was a companion to the IRIS Development Option, which was the C compiler.
