#listening to the Alice in Chains album Dirt. Back in the 1990s I was really into Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, but I never really gave AiC their due. TBH I think they were a bit subtle for me.Anyway, I got into AiC in a big way over after listening to their full albums on The Grunge podcast a couple of years ago. Those vocal harmonies, wow! Now I see them as one of the most underappreciated bands of the 90s.#music #grunge #AliceInChains

@strypey My GF hates AIC. No idea why.We joke-fight every time I play anything of theirs. "WTF is wrong with you?"She'll listen to Nirvana though, and likes Pearl Jam. I had no appreciationfor Pearl Jam in my teens, but that has changed somewhat now.I'd also recommend (not strongly, but worth a listen) the group Mad Season.For 90s vocals, my faves would be: Mazzy Star (I would listen to Hope Sandovalif she sang passages from the phonebook). Screaming Trees. Radiohead.

@strypey if you like Layne Staley’s vocals in AiC, check out “Mad Season”, the collab between Layne and Mark Lanegan. It was recorded towards the end of Layne’s career — it’s really something. I am a diehard AiC fan, one of the best bands of the 90s without a doubt.
