My first tech conference was Google !/O 2011, which I won a ticket for with a Chrome app competition. It wasn't my first time in San Fransisco, but it was definitely the first time I'd seen the dog and pony show on full display. That year, Google built a huge marble maze controlled by a tablet. They were showing off the *accelerometer* on the tablet.

@strypey if you like Layne Staley’s vocals in AiC, check out “Mad Season”, the collab between Layne and Mark Lanegan. It was recorded towards the end of Layne’s career — it’s really something. I am a diehard AiC fan, one of the best bands of the 90s without a doubt.
