       @grammargirl  I tend to think of well-done punctuation as a superpower for practitioners of written language. It allows one to provide very finely nuanced meaning. I suppose the problem, though, is that so few practice it well, a reader can only tell if the writer MEANT it that way based on how well they punctuate elsewhere, either in context or by reputation.  Probably went too deep on this. Sorry.
